About Me

I began my yoga journey in 2018 when I was struggling with my mental health at university, around the same time as this I had also suffered a shoulder injury which was quite debilitating. Attending a beginners yoga course in Glasgow gave me a way to switch off from feelings of stress, and gave me a gentle introduction back into movement whilst rehabbing my injury. I have practiced yoga ever since and became a 200 hour qualified yoga teacher in 2021. I have experience in teaching public classes in Glasgow, as well as online and outdoor yoga classes. My teaching style is mainly based on Vinyasa yoga at the moment, with a focus on anatomy, but I am really looking forward to undertaking my Yin teacher training in the near future.

  • Typically yes, I make my classes as inclusive as possible making sure to give options and modifications for all levels of student. I will specify in my class description if it is not suitable for beginners but I want to get as many people enjoying yoga as possible so most of my classes are geared towards people of any level.

  • Yoga teachers get asked this a lot and while it's definitely a valid thing to ask, the answer is no! Yoga isn't all about the physical poses you can get your body into, it is also about the emotional, spiritual and psychological aspects. I am one of the least flexible yoga teachers I know, and sometimes I get imposter syndrome about it. But at the end of the day there is no such thing as being “good” at yoga - so pleased don't let it put you off coming to a class if you think your body isn't flexible. Flexibility is also something we will work on in class.

  • If you are practicing yoga at home or taking part in online classes, all you really need is yourself and some comfortable clothes to wear! Ideally you’ll be able to get hold of a yoga mat too either by buying your own one or borrowing one. Other things that are nice to have are a set of 2 yoga blocks (or two large books), a blanket and possibly a yoga strap.
